FAQ’s

How long will the paint last?
The number one factor is the quality of the concrete. We have found that newer concrete, generally, is of an inferior quality than older concrete.
If the number is in a heavy rain runoff area, it can cause a shorter life.
If it is bumped by car tires a lot, it can wear out faster.
With these factors in mind, the stencils should look good for at least 4-5 years or more (probably closer to 7-10 years).

Is the paint reflective?
The paint is incandescent. Reflective paint does not last very long and is not worth the effort. Marsh stencil ink (not paint) lasts for many years and has stood the test of time.

Doesn’t GPS make the need for curb address numbers obsolete?
No, not by a long shot! When GPS announces that you are arriving near an address, it often announces this when the vehicle is many houses away, or even past the address. And good luck with GPS on cul-de-sacs where all the driveways are next to each other!

Can you see the numbers at night?
Yes, very much so. The contrasting boxes on the concrete show up great! The headlights on the car light them up much better than numbers on the house.

Why is the service so expensive?
We use Marsh Stencil Ink, not paint, and it is very expensive, much more than spray paint. We put a double coat on our stencils so they last much longer than others. We measure out the boxes so they are uniform with each other, and do a thorough job with each address we do.

Why is the service so inexpensive?
The going rate in America is about $30 per one address box (do a web search). We keep the price low, and make up for the decrease through volume of sales (like Walmart).

What about my Home Owners Association?
Based on our previous experience, if your HOA does not supply a curb number, than you are free to get one yourself. We have never had a problem with HOA’s forbidding the home owner with getting their own number or team stencil.

Can curb address numbers be painted on curved surfaced curbs as well as flat curbs?
Yes, very easily! Painting on a curved surfaced curb is no problem.
